About me
I am Maartje Hartman (1978). I started out as a child and youth psychologist. In addition, I have focused on offering treatments to adults. I am always developing my self. Either in building my own practice or with following courses and education programmes.
After studying psychology, I started working in youth care, where I initially treated children and young people within the basic mental health care organisation. While I did this job I completed the educational programme for Child and Youth Psychologist NIP (Netherlands Institute for Psychologists). I am also trained as an EMDR Europe Practitioner. I am now a healthcare psychologist and therefore BIG registered. I developed myself more and morein the field of trauma and attachment and could therefore treaticomplex complaints. I started noticing that people with these kinds of experiences often found it difficult to talk in a treatment room. So I took the step towards outdoor therapy and trained as an Outdoor Psychologist. Once I got started with this, I found it a huge relief for my clients and for. This is also where the collaborations that led to Equinetherapy andEMDR emerged.I like to develop myself so that I can provide the best possible help.
In my personal life, I am a mother of two daughters. I really like traveling and discovering different cultures. I also enjoy being on the move, either walking while working, on the yoga mat or during one of my other athletic hobbies. In addition to this active extrovert side, I also have a soft and sensitive side. I regularly feel the need to turn inward and therefore enjoy meditating. In addition to my professional development, I also like to develop as a human being.
I am often perceived as easy and approachable in contact. I am incisive and can analyze well. I also have a sensitive and introverted side. This combination also makes me the therapist I am: warm and involved, practical, results-oriented and solution-oriented.
I am BIG registered, a member of the Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP), the Association of EMDR Netherlands (VEN), the Outdoor Psychologists and the Foundation Quality Register Youth (SKJ).
